Austin has many great organizations devoted to helping animals and the people who love them. Here are a few of our favorites:

Clinics and Community Resources
EMANCIPE+ envisions a world where no cat or dog is ever killed just for being homeless. They provide services and advocacy that effectively and humanely reduce the homeless pet population in our community.
Many dogs and cats go from AAC to the Austin Humane Society, the city’s largest no-kill adoption facility.
Animal Trustees of Austin is a non-profit animal welfare organization with special services and programs, including adoption and veterinary services.
Eye Care for Animals Austin practice is at the Austin Veterinary Care Center and is available to assist you and your veterinarian with treatment of your pet’s eyes.
Animal Rescue Groups
Austin Pets Alive promotes and provides the resources, education and programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion animals.
Travis County Animal Advocates (TCAA) represents Travis County animal rescue groups and animal advocates.
Paws Shelter and Humane Society has been a no-kill animal shelter in Kyle, Texas since 1986!
Love-A-Bull promotes responsible guardianship and seeks to improve the image and lives of pit bull type dogs through education, advocacy, and rescue.
Blue Dog Rescue is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to end the needless killing of homeless dogs by finding permanent, loving homes for them in the Central Texas area.
 Wags, Hope, and Healing focuses on the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of dogs in need, specializing in dogs that were the victims of abuse or neglect.
Trainers and Boarding
The Canine Center for Training and Behavior wants to help you enjoy your life with your dog. Their training is based on rewards and play, free of pain and intimidation.
